PeopleSoft Project Manager

Our valued client is in need of a Project Manager to assist the  People Management Systems and Processes (PMSP) Sector in the planning, management direction, project completion and client satisfaction of the HR Systems Forum, a project of PMSP.

Must Have: 
Valid Canadian Government SECRET Clearance
Minimum 10 years of experience working as a Project Manager
Minimum 5 years of experience working on projects with PeopleSoft HCM v9.1 or higher
Minimum 5 years of experience working in a federal, provincial, or municipal government environment implementing or upgrading PeopleSoft HCM v9.1

Tasks:
  1. Lead a project team and provide advice to senior management on options, issues and risks related to the project.
  2. Co-chair the HR Systems Forum and any Working Groups derived from the main Forum
  3. Responsible for accomplishing the stated project objectives;
  4. Regarding developing/refining the strategic plan and structure of the forum, the resource will create clear and attainable project objectives, build the project requirements, and manage constraints including time, scope, and quality;
  5. Create a digital plan to align with engagement strategy with 33 departments including project work plans and timelines and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements;
  6. Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope, which includes review deliverables prepared by team before presenting to stakeholders and resolve or escalate issues in a timely fashion
  7. Lead project scoping activities;
  8. Communicate effectively relevant project information, including some research and outreach to OGDs and external parties as well as project changes, to team and stakeholders by providing regular updates to management and co-author briefing notes for senior management;
  9. Route work between all responsible resource teams in all stages of the project life cycle;
  10. Facilitate team and stakeholder meetings to review work;
  11. Prepare regular status reports and distribute as necessary;
  12. Ensure documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately;
  13. Provide documentation as required to support approval processes; and
  14. Lead resource for stakeholder engagement and defining governance for this forum and any offshoot working groups.
