Senior .NET Developer

We currently require the services of an Senior .NET Developer to develop software/web application components such as (software code / services / modules  and associateds documentation. The consultant is required to have SECRET CLEARANCE, working experinece with Azure, and minimum of 10 years of .NET developement experience.  

The activities that will be undertaken are, but not limited to:

  • Work with designers to implement site templates and CSS styles guidelines;
  • Analyze system designs in terms of information to be transferred over the internet;
  • Review requirements and work packages, provide feedback and development estimates;
  • Develop solutions within the Systems Development Life Cycle and/or Agile framework;
  • Design web and mobile experiences in all aspects - overall UX concept, UI flow, and visual design;
  • Design wireframes, composites, and mockups for web based solutions for internally/externally facing sites;
  • Proactively provide technical recommendations and solutions that are aligned to business and technical strategies;
  • Interface with business clients to translate business requirements into web solutions;
  • Develop and prepare plans for web based service delivery;
  • Develop software modules in accordance with requirements and the approved design;
  • Create and modify code/scripts;
  • Design, code, test and debug custom SQL queries, scripts, stored procedures, functions;
  • Create and modify web pages and reports;
  • Develop and execute unit tests;
  • Maintain project artifacts in project repositories and source control systems;
  • Participate in design reviews in a team setting and while following the development methodology;
  • Select and use the identified web development tools for linking clients to the departmental “back end” information delivery programs and databases.
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of programs by preparing sample data, and testing them by means of system acceptance test runs made by operating personnel;
  • Test instructions, and assemble specifications, flow charts, diagrams, layouts, programming and operating instructions to document applications for later modification or reference;
  • Assist in the development of training documentation and provide training when requested;
  • Work with multidisciplinary team such as database administrators, quality assurance, analytics, infrastructure;
  • Follow Government of Canada accessibility guidelines and standards;
  • Work in JIRA and Azure DevOps.
